NUAA negotiates with National University of Ireland, Galway about two universities’ cooperationat at Room 602 of the College of Economics and Management on the morning of May 8th, 2018. This negotiation refers to Gerard Turley, a doctor of National University of Ireland, Galway, Jin Quanyuan who is the dean of the College of International Education, Chen Feng, the deputy director general of the International Cooperation Department, Wang Ying as the deputy dean of the College of Economics and Management, and Lu Hengzhen serving as the assistant to the dean.

      Professor Turley gives us an introduction about National University of Ireland, Galway, which includes the specialties of different faculties, the training plan and the present situation of the cooperation with foreign universities. Professor Turley hopes that the cooperation about economics, management and engineering can be deepened.
      Dean Jin Quanyuan introduces the basic international cooperation of NUAA, especially the cooperation between our university and some European universities. The Deputy Dean Wang Ying presents our achievements and our international cooperation of the last few years. Besides, he discusses with Gerard Turley about specialties and cooperative researches. And the deputy director general has further communication with Professor Turley on the memorandum of understanding and supplementary material for cooperation.
      After a sincere talk, we reach an agreement about cooperation which involves cooperating for researches, exchanging students and teachers for sharing knowledge, resources and research findings. We both look forward to achieving the details.

      A brief introduction to National University of Ireland, Galway: National University of Ireland, Galway, which has a history of over 150 years, was set up in 1845. It persisted in supplying high-quality education and researches. There are seven faculties subordinate to National University of Ireland, Galway supporting a series of classes. Besides, its predecessor is Queens College Galway which has three campuses respectively locating in Galway, Cork and Belfast of Northern Ireland. And in 1908, Queens College Galway, renamed National University of Ireland, Galway, became a part of National University of Ireland.
      According to the QS World University Rankings from 2017 to 2018, National of Ireland, Galway ranked 243rd in the world.
